Thanks to the generosity of our member businesses, and an incredible donation from the Commonwealth Bank, the MRCCI and Settlers Tavern Christmas party raised over $800 for River Angels via a raffle and auction!

River Angels are a Margaret River based cancer support group, helping local families affected by cancer. Every penny goes directly to the families, so a contribution of $812 will go a long way. River Angels Founder and Director, Lynda Donovan said that the funds would be used to buy a variety of vouchers from local businesses, to help families manage the financial burden, such as for the supermarket, chemist and hardware.

A very big THANK YOU to all those who contributed to the fundraising effort –

Committee Member, Julie Kiker of the Commonwealth Bank, who arranged an invaluable piece of signed cricket memorabilia for the auction along with prizes for the raffle.

The Hayman family of Harvest Tours who made the highest bid and won the auction!

Committee Member, Phill Cronin who elated the crowd as he auctioned the prize.

Committee Member, Marilyn Smith of Iris Naturopathic and MRCCI Assistant, Chad Nichols, who did an outstanding job selling raffle tickets.

All the business who donated to the raffle – Commonwealth Bank, Rebecca Hannan, Iris Naturopathic, Caves Mechanical Services, The Margaret River Distilling Co and the Beer Farm.

Finally, THANK YOU Rob and Karen Gough of Settlers Tavern and Rebecca Young of MRCCI for hosting the function.

Merry Christmas, River Angels!
