Start Up Business

Recognising excellence in a start-up business.

Criteria

  • Has been operating for a maximum of 2 years.

  • Is a new business, not a change in ownership of a business.
Sole Trader

Recognising excellence in the Sole Trader Category.

Criteria

  • Must have 0 direct employees apart from themselves as an individual.

Arrived and Thrived Award

Start up business

The business must be a start-up business trading for a maximum of 2 years.
The business must be a new business and not a pre existing business with new owners.

Sole Trader Award

Zero direct employees

The business has 0 direct employees apart from themselves as an individual.

Micro Business Award

Employs 1 to 5 staff

Recognising business excellence with 1 to 5 fulltime or equivalent staff.

Small Business Award Award

Employs 6 to 10 staff

Recognising business The business must employ 6 to 10 staff members (full-time or equivalent) employees.

Medium Business Award

Employs 11 to 20 staff

Recognising business excellence in a business with 11 to 20 staff members (full-time or equivalent) employees.

Large Business Award

Minimum of 21 staff

Recognising superior customer service and satisfaction.The business must employ a minimum of 21 staff members (full-time or equivalent) employees.

Local Legends Award

Recognising Not-for-Profit organisations that make significant contributions to the local community.

People’s Choice Award

Finalists who gets the most votes at the Gala event

Creative Industry Excellence Award

Recognising exceptional business in the creative business industry

Environmental Excellence Award

Recognising leadership in environmental best practice in business and stewardship.

Leading with Innovation

Recognising a business demonstrates the use and application of innovation in processes, production, operations or marketing that has tangibly improved their business operations and output.

Access and Inclusion Excellence Award

Recognising a business that demonstrates outstanding commitment to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all individuals.

Food and Beverage Producers Excellence Award

Celebrating innovation and excellence in the Margaret River Region food and beverage Industry – The business must value add raw materials, turning raw agricultural into products people can consume (beer, wine, preserves, cheese, olive oil, bread, crackers).

Tourism Excellence Award

Awarded to a business that delivers an outstanding visitor experience within the tourism industry.
