LJ Soccer is a coaching service based in the Augusta Margaret River region. Their mission is for everyone to have the opportunity to play soccer, have fun and at an affordable price for ALL families.
LJ Soccer offers clinics that are made to be fun while the kids learn new skills. They design our sessions to suit all players and to have a strong player centred approach to developing each child, also providing an environment where the kids have an opportunity to make their own decisions and learn the game by themselves.
Luke Johnston has been playing soccer since the age of 4. Luke’s love of the game and passion shines through in his coaching style and into the kids he coaches.
Luke started his soccer career with Glasgow Rangers as a child then moved to Australia with family, which led to playing for Perth Glory before returning to the UK to play professional Soccer in the Scottish Premier League for Dundee United. Luke played full-time first team soccer before returning to Australia. Luke continues to coach for Football West, is currently the Technical Director at Football Margaret River and plays for the senior men’s team. Luke has also worked with Leeuwin Naturaliste Soccer Association participating in Country Week and coaching the south-west development squads.
Operating LJ Soccer since January 2020, Luke’s highlights so far include starting the Little Stars Clinic and having fun with all the kids while they learn new skills, as well as meeting new people through soccer and getting to know them. He has also enjoyed watching his private 1 on 1 clients develop and excel.
In 2020 Luke is looking forward to starting some after school clubs, options for birthday parties and also expanding the Little Stars clinic for 2-5 year olds.
