RED Grants Information Session

The South West Development Commission (SWDC) is arranging a series of information sessions on the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program and Local Content opportunities.

This free session will cover the RED Grants application process, eligibility, and examples of funded projects, as well as understanding how local suppliers and contractors can connect with upcoming tender opportunities.

About

The RED Grants program is a State Government initiative that is investing more than $60 million over eleven years in locally-driven projects to stimulate economic growth and development.

Eligible applicants can now apply for grants of up to $150,000 in the South West region for locally-driven projects that create real economic impact and employment opportunities.

The RED Grants program is delivered by the Regional Development Commissions for their respective region, with support from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.

In the South West, the South West Development Commission manages the grant process.

Objectives

The RED Grants program supports individual projects that contribute to:

  • Sustainable jobs;
  • expanding or diversifying industry;
  • developing skills or capability;
  • attracting new investment in the region; and
  • increasing productivity
