Dr Jack Carlsen established Tourism Research Services in 1991 to undertake commercial consultancy projects in the tourism and related sectors. A wide range of qualitative and quantitative projects have been completed in the last 25 years of operation that have been used by Government agencies and businesses to evaluate economic impacts and formulate strategic marketing and management plans for tourism, hospitality, food, wine and event sectors.
Dr Carlsen has extensive experience in strategic and business planning that aligns with government and corporate objectives and supports economically viable, socially sustainable and ecologically responsible development. He has worked with Government and business in planning and research to inform setting of strategic goals, implementation of development plans and evaluation of impacts and outcomes.
Services include market and product research, strategic analysis, economic impact modelling, community and stakeholder consultation, data collection, statistical analysis, report writing, business case development, financial analysis, grant applications, implementation planning and economic evaluation.
