A very big thank you to Andrew Frith, Pauline McLeod and the team at Arts Margaret River for hosting the Chamber’s April Sundowner in the Margaret River Cultural Centre.
Guests were treated to a cinema screen presentation of the Cultural Centre’s multi-million dollar redevelopment project, set to transform the ageing centre into a vibrant Hub of Entertainment, Art and Regional Tourism (HEART). The redevelopment will be a terrific boost for Margaret River and bring much joy to the community. The Chamber congratulates the AMR Shire and individuals who have worked hard to make this project happen.
Following the redevelopment presentation, guests were updated on the upcoming Readers and Writers Festival – a 3 day storytelling spectacular and biggest literary event in regional WA. Festival participants include Michael Palin, Kerry O’Brien, Stephanie Alexander, Anna Gare, Tim Costello and many more. It’s no wonder ticket are almost sold out! What a lucky town we are.
Congratulations to South Regional TAFE for winning the $500 Triple M Advertising voucher, Noah Shilkin who took home the complimentary tickets to Shirley Valentine and Anne Sheperdson who won the Chamber wine.
