At our very first Member’s event for 2020, our Monthly Morning Muster at Morries on the 30th January, around 50 attendees heard all about the work that’s being done to prepare our region and our businesses for the first flights from Melbourne to the Busselton Margaret River Airport next month.

Pip Close from the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association (MRBTA) gave us some insights into the new infrastructure being built at the airport, as well as how local businesses and tourism operators will be allocated parking and advertising space there. We were also given insights into the dedicated #melbournetomargaretriver marketing campaigns being run by the MRBTA, the City of Busselton, Tourism WA, Australia’s South West and even Jetstar themselves!

There are certainly plenty of opportunities on the horizon for our local businesses and we’re really excited to hear more about your plans and experiences as the new influx of Eastern States (and beyond!) visitors touch down in the Margaret River Region this year!

Once again Morries delighted us with their superb coffees and freshly baked pastries!

We look forward to seeing you again next month! MRCCI’s Morning Musters at Morries are on the last Thursday of the month, 8:30 – 9:30am.
