The Department of Communications today released a database of approximately 6,000 regional and remote locations reported to the Department between December 2013 and August 2014 as having inadequate mobile coverage. The database will be shared with potential applicants (mobile carriers and infrastructure providers) to assist them in preparing their funding proposals under the Mobile Black Spot Programme.

The database has been released via an interactive map on the Department of Communications’ website.
