Welcome to the Chamber: The Larder

MRCCI: How did you get involved with the Larder?

Siobhan Halse: I’d been looking for a food business to buy in Perth for a few months and came across The Larder.  Even though it meant leaving my life in the city, it was the perfect choice!

MRCCI: What is the concept behind the Larder?

Siobhan Halse: We are a gourmet food retail store selling not only the best of local produce but also international products as well.  We make a range of gourmet take-home meals for the busy people who want a healthy delicious meal without the fuss of cooking it themselves.  Demonstration cooking classes are held in our kitchen during the winter months.  These classes are run by local chefs and are a great way of socialising!  We also arrange hampers for the big concerts in Margaret River (Leeuwin and Sandalford), and are also able to deliver breakfast, dinner and picnic hampers to guests staying in holiday homes.

MRCCI: What is your best seller?

Siobhan Halse: We are ‘famous’ for our Spinach Dahl made in our kitchen.  It is exceptional!!  Our curries are also popular amongst the locals and FIFO workers.

MRCCI: What do your regulars love about the Larder?

Siobhan Halse: The quality of the food produced in our kitchen is second to none and the customers are always greeted in our store with a smile from one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff members. They’re always keen to provide information of any of our products in store or answer any cooking question our customers may have.
