NOMINATE YOUR BUSINESS
Nominations open: July 22 – August 18, 2013.
Businesses can nominate for one of these industry-based Excellence Awards: Local Produce, Hospitality, Retail, Tourism, Winery and Brewery, Professional Services, Trades and Services, Online, Accommodation. All businesses who nominate for an Excellence Award will also be in the running for the Margaret Business of the Year Award and the People’s Choice Award. The nomination forms will be available on the MRCCI website soon.
Every business who nominates will receive a 30 second video clip of their business as a gift from the MRCCI. This professional video clip will be produced by local film company Illusory to be screened at the Awards night on Thursday September 26, 2013. Following the Awards night, you can use this video clip as a marketing tool in avenues such as your website or social media.
WHO CAN ENTER?
All businesses located within the Margaret River Wine Region are eligible to nominate in their Industry’s Excellence Award.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Your completed nomination form will be strictly confidential and only provided in hard copy to the Award judges on the day judges meet on August 28, 2013. The judging panel will read through all the nomination forms for each Award category and then submit their vote in order of 1 to 4, with 4 being the first choice. The scores from all judges will be added up and the Finalist with the highest number of points will be the Winner. Judges will be looking for examples of innovation, customer service, marketing, staff development and community engagement.
The nomination questions are:
1. What products/services does your business provide? (250 words maximum)
2. What is your competitive advantage? Describe what makes your business unique or special. (250 words maximum)
3. How do you train or award staff? (250 words maximum)
4. What is your business vision for the future? (250 words maximum)
5. How does your business engage with the local community? (250 words maximum)
NOMINATION FEE
There is a $50 entry fee for MRCCI members and $100 for non-members. You will be invoiced once you have nominated your business.
