Earlier this month MRCCI members experienced first-hand the outstanding skills emerging from South Regional TAFE Margaret River Campus when they were taken on a Long Table Lunch ”Spice Journey”, as part of the TAFE’s Gather & Feast series.

Following an insightful and colourful spice demonstration by Spice Mistress, Sarina Kamini, guests enjoyed two amazing courses based on her recipes, and prepared and presented by the Cert III cookery students of South Regional TAFE Margaret River. Dishes included a fragrant Cambodian style fish curry for mains and roasted spiced persimmon panna cotta for dessert. YUM!

The feedback so far includes ”exceptional” ”fantastic” ”terrific event!” “the best meal I’ve had in a long time”and more.

The MRCCI extends huge thanks to Sarnina Kamini, TAFE Manager, Judith Reynolds and Lecturers, Gita Hofmann-Ketharanathan, Amanda Smith and Kelly Dickinson, along with the talented team of students including Head Chef, Kenzo Tsuda and FOH Manager, Christian Lende.

Going by the great feedback, this might have to become a regular event on the MRCCI calendar!
