The Passenger Services Business Unit of the Department of Transport regulates various types of taxi and omnibus (non-taxi on-demand) services across WA.
The Department of Transport has commissioned an independent review of the taxi and omnibus service in Margaret River.
As part of this review consultants Cardno Pty Ltd (Cardno) have created a survey to obtain community feedback.
DoT would like to know what the community’s experiences have been, any concerns they may have and any ideas they have to help improve transport services in and around the Margaret River area.
The survey focuses on:
· the transport needs of the local community;
· issues affecting existing transport services (including taxi and omnibus) and their causes;
· opportunities and constraints associated with the delivery of transport services in and around Margaret River.
The idea of the survey is to get feedback from the people that are directly affected by transport services in the area.
This feedback will help the Department of transport better understand the unique transport needs in the Margaret River area and will build on the information already provided by the community during consultations with Cardno representatives in November last year.
If you would like to participate in this study, please complete the survey through the following link.

The survey will run through to the end of January and a report outlining the findings and subsequent recommendations will be finalised in February 2015.
