On Tuesday the Margaret River Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Margaret River Regional Producers Association collaborated with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s (DPIRD) Food Industry Innovation team, to offer a half-day workshop aimed at food and beverage producers seeking knowledge on how to expand distribution of their products into retail outlets.

Twenty-five local producers took plenty of great advice away from the workshop that was led by retail buyers with international experience, helping them to prepare for their own interactions with current and potential buyers.

A Sundowner event in the Margaret River Education Campus Winery and Cafe followed, where MRCCI members and guests joined workshop attendees for a great night of networking.

Thanks to industry consultants Samantha Watson and Annemette V Thomsen, and our local beverage expert Amanda Carroll from Rok Kombucha for giving out so many valuable tips as part of the Q&A session, answering a range of questions on food and beverage industry trends, challenges and opportunities.
