DESCRIPTION:  \nThe South West Development Commission (SWDC) is arranging a series of information sessions on the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program and Local Content opportunities. \nThis free session will cover the RED Grants application process\, eligibility\, and examples of funded projects\, as well as understanding how local suppliers and contractors can connect with upcoming tender opportunities. \nAbout \nThe RED Grants program is a State Government initiative that is investing more than $60 million over eleven years in locally-driven projects to stimulate economic growth and development.  \nEligible applicants can now apply for grants of up to $150\,000 in the South West region for locally-driven projects that create real economic impact and employment opportunities.  \nThe RED Grants program is delivered by the Regional Development Commissions for their respective region\, with support from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.  \nIn the South West\, the South West Development Commission manages the grant process.  \nObjectives  \nThe RED Grants program supports individual projects that contribute to:   \n\nSustainable jobs; \nexpanding or diversifying industry; \ndeveloping skills or capability; \nattracting new investment in the region; and \nincreasing productivity\n\nFor more information on the RED Grants Program\, visit the South West Development Commission website.
