Office Assistant

  • Based at The Margaret River CCI Business Hub 
  • 20 hours per week – Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri
  • Contract – 1 year 
  • $23.53 p/hour (Level 2 year 2 rate under the Clerical Award)
  • Responsible to Executive Officer

Job Purpose

  • To provide administrative support to staff
  • To assist with the organisation of training seminars and member networking events
  • To assist with the provision of services to members and other organisations

Duties and responsibilities

  • To provide support to the Executive Officer, Membership Officer and Executive Committee
  • To undertake Hub reception duties including in person and on the phone
  • To assist with promotion of members and events via social media
  • To provide face to face support and information to members and respond to general email and telephone enquiries.
  • Assist with the maintenance of member database

Selection Criteria 

This role will be part-funded by the Federal Government’s JobMaker or Restart Program.

  • Eligibility for either the JobMaker Program (info available here) or Restart Program (info available here)
  • Experience or familiarity with office procedures
  • Great interpersonal, time management  and organisation skills 
  • Desire to learn new office skills including booking systems, ticket systems, mailchimp and social media marketing (training will be provided) 
  • An interest in local business, events and networking
