The Margaret River Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI) and the Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association (AMRTA) are pleased to announce they have joined forces to celebrate and profile local business excellence. The MRCCI 7th Annual Business Awards will relaunch under the combined banner as ‘The Margaret River Region 2014 Business Awards’.

This collaborative initiative reflects the focus of both the MRCCI and AMRTA on industry development and their goals to value add to member support services via a credible award recognition process. The predominance of tourism related businesses and services in the region made the award partnership a natural fit. Developments in the submission process create opportunity to showcase the region’s products and services with an increased number of tourism categories.

Interested businesses should note an exciting change to the overall judging criteria. The judging process will now include an onsite inspection alongside the written submission form. The pre-arranged visitation will allow for increased transparency and credibility of the award submission assessments.

Award criteria and submission deadlines of the ‘The Margaret River Region 2014 Business Awards’ have been planned to compliment requirements and deadlines of the Western Australian Regional Small Business Awards. The MRCCI wants to encourage the Margaret River Region’s increased involvement at the regional and state level.

The MRCCI and AMRTA are proud to be launching the business excellence awards in celebration of the Margaret River Region’s diverse and successful products and services. We invite all members in the business community to undertake the award submission process to refine business planning skills, to inspire innovation, highlight performance excellence and of course enjoy a night of celebration and networking.

The award night event is planned for early September 2014. Nomination opening dates will be announced shortly. Information for members of both associations can be found on
