Royalties for Regions has come through for Margaret River again!

Augusta-Margaret River Shire President Ian Earl just shared the fantastic news that the WA State Government’s Royalties for Regions programme has delivered $5.5 million to help with one of the Shire’s Priority Projects.

The plan to Progress and complete Stage I and II of Margaret River Main Street Town Centre Improvements can now go a long way with the additional R4R funding adding to the Shire’s amount of approximately $1.5 million earmarked for when the Margaret River Perimeter Road is completed.

The Margaret River Chamber is elated that the Shire’s Main Street Vision will be supported by Royalties for Regions and grateful that the contribution will help boost Margaret River’s economic development by resulting in increased town centre retail expenditure.

Oh, and as an aside, MRCCI will be looking at working with the Shire to provision public seating and tables with digital charging hubs so visitors and locals can make use of the Main Street Free Public Wi-Fi Network to get some digital business done!
